The StreetNow that your child is one year away from attending school more emphasis is placed on learning. Their inquisitive minds will be fed daily with new information about the world we live in. There will also be access to a computer. Children are readily encouraged to be independent, polite and to be socially interactive with others within the Nursery. All children are given the opportunity to make choices and to play by themselves. The day is structured similar to a reception class within a school. Planning includes all areas of learning: Personal and Social, Communication Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Physical and Creative. This enables the child to achieve an appropriate level of the foundation stage.
